BANG! the Official Video Game App Reviews

I love the game Bang and the app is a pretty good translation of it. My only critique is that it can go a little slow, even with animations turned off. My suggestion is that it needs an expansion. There are so many characters in the Bang universe, it would be nice to be able to play with them. Im getting really tired of the same old characters. It would also be nice if you could have more than five characters in a game.

I realize most of these reviews are old but a lot of the negative reviews just arent fair. Ok the A.I. Is pretty predictable and at times annoying, however Playing the game against computer opponents can still be enjoyable. Sure the Lawful have a pretty big advantage and trying to play as the Outlaws can be tough but its Definitely doable. Willy the Kid ,Elena Fuente, and Calamity Janet can all put up a pretty good fight due to their special abilities. As far as the online experience its not meant to be played over a wireless cellular account, playing through a wireless Internet connection usually works fine. Playing against good human opponents can make for some interesting matches with maybe a slight advantage to the Lawful and to some characters(Willy the kid etc..) but played right any character in any role can sway the match in a direction towards victory. Sure its all about the cards to a degree but not just what youre dealt but the how/when/and why you use the cards you get. Ill admit Im not that good compared to alot of the regular players, but its still fun playing with them every now and then. All in all Bang! Is worth the money, its one of the best card/board games on the App Store period. If youre new to the game give it a go and have fun.

This is a nice implementation of Bang!, but it desperately needs a "cancel" feature. Its really annoying when you find yourself stuck stealing your own card. There should also be a quick way to exit the tutorial.

Servers constantly lose connection online, even with a good signal. Its hard enough to find enough players for a game, so when the connection crashes before youre able to finish a single game, its highly infuriating. Have attempted to play about 50 matches and was only able to finish 3.

This guy called "doc brown" is a troll. He waits until time forces him to go. Whenever he dies, my game disconnects. This is miserable because he has been in 12 of my games. I dont know what the heck this is but please fix it!!!!

Hasnt been updated in almost 3 years, iOS 8 or 6 Plus has finally broken the old horses back... (Not compatible anymore)

The game crashes frequently during online matches ever since iOS 8 came out. Please fix!

I would like to be able to undo a card And listen to my own music while playing And gen 5screen ratio would be nice

Great game but it needs an update and a way to get new players on this game. This is one of the best games and connecting to other players is a pain. On the iPhone 6 it doesnt look good and some buttons only work when they want to. Please fix and lets make this a phenomenal game!

Not all characters have their special skill actually given to them during the game, like Willy the Kid.

I played 4 beers in extremis in one round and still did not unlock a new character. If you are going to require us to unlock characters at least make it work. Allow character unlocking offline.

But you need to update the game please, need new characters and stuff please update

This is a fun game and has potential for much better gameplay experience, but some much needed TLC is due for the app. Takes too long on single player to cycle through all the other ai players because of all the card effects, unstable when connected to a multiplayer game often loses connection, multiplayer match screen needs some major attention as it makes no sense how many games are going and how many players are in each game and should be able to join rather than wait for 5 minutes for an auto match, shouldnt allow as much stall time to a player between moves, also there is no way to exit the tutorial if you accidentally push that button until you get all the way into the game and its your turn, etc...just please do some updates already, I feel like its been left as is too long.

After getting hooked on the card game, I was ecstatic to find that there was a Bang! app. However, its simply boring. The app is slow (even on my iPhone 6) and bland. It reveals the role of each character, taking the fun of guessing out, and is wholly unsatisfying. Waste of a dollar.

Fun game but it crashes on my iPhone 5 a LOT. Please update and fix this..

Needs updates - please support it. The online experience is pretty unstable! Get kicked out often.

This is an entertaining app. And its great for rules clarification. The AI could stand to be strengthened. For example, as Sheriff if you Dual a Deputy, that Deputy will fire back with a Bang card. When the Outlaws are eliminated, if you are a Sheriff the Dual card is about the only card you can use to distinguish between a Renegade and a Deputy. Despite that logic bug, this is fun to play.

I use to be able to play this online with my friends. But there has been game killing connection issues for so long that one can only come to the conclusion that this game had been abandoned by its makers. When was the last update to fix issues? I love the game and have played the actual card game for 10 years. Dont get this app if you are looking for online play. Go to steam and look up table top simulator. You have been warned. ;)

The app itself clearly has its flaws, the biggest being the occasional lost connection, this seems to usually result from people rapidly using the table-talk function, which shouldnt be part of the game in the first place. However, my greatest frustration comes from online players being inept at playing as the Renegade. DO NOT act like you are the Deputy for the whole game, this almost always leads to a three-way between Sherriff, Deputy, and Renegade because the Outlaws get ganged up on, which in turn results in an uneven amount of victories for the Law. As the Renegade your philosophy of play should be to keep the game balanced and if anything kill the Deputy before any Outlaws, thus converting yourself into a temporary ally of the Sheriff, before hopefully gunning the Outlaws down while the Sheriff is weak. This is doubtless the most difficult role to win with but you have a much greater chance to win by acting like your actual role, not pretending to be the Sheriffs patsy and upsetting the balance of play that was designed for this great game! Please learn how to play before going online.

Lots of little glitches here and there but the absolute worst is the beer glitch. I drink the beer and it doesnt replenish my life. I just tried it 3 times in one game and it didnt work a single time. Fix it!
